Working definition
The Semantic Entity is the system-specific, context-conditioned representation of a brand that an AI constructs from learned associations, available evidence and immediate context in order to describe, compare, recommend or act on it.
The task changes what a system needs to know about a brand. A request for a product comparison emphasizes different associations from a question about the company's employment practices. Conversation context, retrieved evidence, and permitted tools can change the answer again.
How it works
The concept names the situated representation that supports the response. Some relevant associations come from what the model learned; other information comes from evidence available at the moment of the request. The resulting description belongs to that system and context.
DTBE is the overarching framework for machine-facing brand representation and its strategic consequences. Semantic Entity makes system and context dependence explicit. Semantic Entity is a working construct within that framework.
What we can observe
Repeated prompts under stated test conditions let us observe generated brand-related outputs. Outputs reveal behavior under those conditions. They do not provide direct inspection of a unique hidden brand object.
A stable or richly described representation can be unfavorable. Inclusion, association, evaluation, recommendation, actual human choice, and economic value are distinct outcomes. Observing one does not establish the others.
Status
This is a working construct, not a validated measure of an underlying brand representation.
